Mikaela Castledine #137Just Riffing on a line from SH

I had no poems today so took Susan's line and just riffed along to see where it went. Thanks Susan!

the world is a poem
but mostly in the joints
synovial
they lubricate against friction
viscous they prevent
much rubbing on the raw
thick they cushion
to absorb  shock
and if they are drained dry
bone will strike bone
and a certain stiffness will set in
until we are inflexible
no longer able even
to hold a pen

  1. it seems like we have to hurry up before it's too late! Nice poem even if the perspective for the future is dark!!
