Robbie Coburn & Michele Seminara: Collaboration # 7
Boneyard (Robbie Coburn)
not the barren boneline of the property
the suns eye blinkers, but the repetitive plot of humid air
the body pitching prayer against the silo's shell
the wind looses flies into the heat
growing thin, a slow collapse of skin
(blood running through the property,
born into it)
a lone gumtree planted in the slip track's centre
leading to a drying dam, water gushing against eroded mud
staring into the water inside the boneyard
a sense of fear, peripherally rising into the headlong
grasses.
Plot (Michele Seminara)
The sun gushing blood
through the grasses, water rising
like prayer in humid air.
The yard a slow collapse of bone
and body eroded by flies.
Fear running headlong through a gumtree,
fear thinning peripherally in wind;
fear in the barren blinkering
of the lone eye.
