undoing the moment
chasing after it
I know so little
the owl disdains
hesitation
flies to the other side
ritual might find the moment
in sweeping
brushing
sorting
breath after breath
cough
what if the moment
is not so good?

really interesting photo and poem together - the multiple framings of a singular moment, frames within frames,
ReplyDeletea single moment multiplied, repetitions and patterns, illusions of depth and surface, reference points and origins and desires to fix and to release and so on, and on. Great photographic tension inherent in thinking about the moment - the question of its repetition, or its reproduction/representation here.
I love your reading, Efi, thank you. I thought you might be interested the image is of stairs, from below. In an underground car park (art gallery). I am so glad you felt a connection between the poem and image (I hesitated on that one). That is the beauty of this project, you just have to make decisions and let them fly.)
ReplyDelete:) good decision - the shot also creates a sense of oppressiveness which is perfect in relation to the last stanza's question
