Dog tongue
philtrum is a licker
pink beyond reason
soft comforter
wet making -
a whine carpet
a woof-thruster of
dog speak.
Dog’s do all day
not with that
old word trick –
words do diddle with meaning
frighten away
essence like rain
dims down scent.
A look or lick
a thump of tail
might say
to those who are
moment ready
present for more
than tongued up voice words
more gesture and nuance
more ear prick and
nose winkle.
Lovely. Dog language is one of my favourite languages.
