change

how it used to be decades ago
the rain came down hard from angry black clouds
the streets were dirty and the city was grey
the bombed out spaces
the holes in the ground
where now are modern houses
apartments are found
black power in the basement is no longer there
creeping supermarkets and restaurants with flair
taking over from
fishmongers dressmakers cobblers
all sent to the past
instead there are pop ups
coffee shops speciality shops
shops for mobile phones and
cones in the street for constant repairs
for painting white houses and
what to wear
