All Fox
all swans to the Queen of England,
but what of us,
we unlicensed poets?
all poets belong to the fox,
all are hungry, all the time,
all we share is her appetite
insatiable for fish, flesh or fowl.

Thank you so much, Karen. It's interesting that you chose my first version, which I deleted after revising the second stanza. I'm really curious to know whether v.1 works better in translation than the second version?
