so now it's torture of children
can you believe it?
we've been government groomed
over the last years
daily we are fed TV's horrors
in Iraq or France,
entertained by gruesome dramas
where bodies are flayed
so many living in detention
on islands they say
but the ground is bare heat permanent
no tropical resort here
who can tell any longer what is real
or what is not?
who can protest on every front
heart exhausted?
