Tetchy, on edge
snappish little beast
in the nest, in the hive
in an open-mouthed lair
white cartoon eyes
sharp brows look out
gorgon of the underbrush
shrub-sheltered jaws
salivate viscously
viciously blind
leviathan of the deep, its
one-way eyes terrify
above the wild line
the sun still shines
a day in the life ...love it especially the finale.
