Kerri Shying R # 253 - Alarm Call

Alarm call

undamp the beds
 be ready
take the dove sky for your moon

slide soft into the hardness of the soil
and find it open
to sequestering of bulbs
against the Spring

imagine
colour petals bloom
within the confines
of this thick cheap vase

let fly with sorrow
all the burbled stories
murmured on the lines
at midnight

deaths and calls too close
to let alone
that keep you open-eyed
at dawn

undamp
your pillow  go to

the day  alive again
alive again
alive
