Neruda's death at the September 23, 1973

Neruda death was a funeral

Through the silence of the streets of Santiago.

That morning

When the terror was anywhere

In front of the chariot dead poet

Behind Nobel Prize of Literature 1972

On both sides of his clandestine life

At the corner of La Chascona*

On each ditches where people stand with courage

to saying goodbye to the comrade Poet.

I grew up writing poems during curfew

Neruda my poems were leaves of those hidden nights

against to those weapons of death pointing to your name.

*La Chascona was the house of the poet in Santiago

Second Version of my poem about Neruda

Pablo Neruda's death September 23, 1973

The death of Pablo Neruda was a funeral

In the silence and weapons trained on him to death or life?

On the streets of Santiago.

That morning

When terror occupied the city everywhere,

In front of the chariot dead poet

Behind of the Nobel Prize in Literature 1972

On both sides of the clandestine life

against the other traitor, he does not deserve appointed

and he chased  you and lost your trail in Andes mountains 1946*.

The soldiers stood at the corner of La Chascona *

In each ditches where people stood with courage

to said goodbye to Comrade poet.

I grew up writing poetry during the 'curfew'

Neruda my poems were leaves of those hidden nights

against weapons of death pointing to your name.

*La Chascona was the house of the poet in Santiago

* Neruda when to exile through the Andes mountains when Traitor Gonzalez Videla sentenced him (1946)
