Juan Garrido-Salgado #9-9 Bolivian Diary Ernesto Che Guevara

Bolivian Diary Ernesto Che Guevara #9-9

( A necessary Introduction  by Samuel Lafferte)

La selva boliviana tuvo los sueños heridos

Por décadas en siglos de exterminio y opresión.

Evo, es una semilla , o piedra o una patria libre

como el testemento del Che en un fusil

“the only difference I would have with Che

 is that he searched for

equality, justice with a gun in his hand”.

Part 1…
9 & 10 September 1967

The day before was a quiet day, you said

but today,

I think is a Guarnica’s day

For the animals and the river who embraced the waves

In a swimming battle of survival.

Weapons surrender at the other side of the bank

Like soldiers of the unknown revolution.

An attack  happened when Che and mule crossing

the tangled streams and river rocks camouflaged

'I lost my shoes during the crossing, and now I am in sandals '

Guarnica mule drowned with rush of water

Guarnica aeroplanes and helicopters  have flown over the area

Guarnica ambushes for us by the

General Barrientos Army.

Death comes as a bloody ambush shooting
Death will fall there between water and mountains
As a seed of freedom.

Or just as hungry jungle corn for we what will be tomorrow.
