Mikaela Castledine #259 Seasickened

Sometimes I wonder
in the queasy after lie of the ferry journey
if it is the sea that makes me ill or the boat
and if I walked upon the water
climbing waves like little hills
whether I might stride clear headed
all the way
with just the burn of hard endeavour
weakening my thighs
and avoid the unpleasant reappearance
of my breakfast

  1. I'm a dedicated land lubber, because of that!

  2. I think it's the boat itself, the very wood, the smell of the paint, the sight of those ropes, all sickening!
