Rob Schackne #69 - Zurich 1916

Zurich 1916

Lenin has never seen an opening like this
they play on an old table with crazy pieces
(clearly this Tzara has surplus value)

They're drinking bottles of cheap red
both of them have bad colds they snap
their veterans down hard they smoke a lot

The Romanian is already drunk
they talk of Dada neither knows a thing

about two men talking about their freedom

It doesn't take Tzara very long to lead
this Lenin down the falsest of elegant paths
and lose him while he surrounds his king

A revolutionary abolition of logic in
a muted clash of parallel lines ensured
an easy win. The wine was terrible.
