Robert Verdon, #291, White Dream

Living too soon
Scuttling over the cutting edge
Of the bed

You’re behind white shutters
A grand hotel in a room somewhere
Quiet luxury you have never known,
With a very brave front out there
Somewhere

There’s a door
You face
The white door
Antiques on seats
And there’s — no street
