Sarah Rice #21 'after Sidney Nolan Central Australia 1950'

origami sandpaper folded
                                                fire
head of a match        struck
            thrice
as the cock crow        though
                        no bird sings
a parched throat

  1. I like the tactility of this - very strong imagery; your reading of the painting creates a sense of an inaudible yet strikingly meaningful landscape that is also its own poetically mapped vision. Well done.
