are a little time-line life-line –

the 000-0, kindy 1,2,3, the tadpoles,

stingray, dolphins swim class,

and readers with ever decreasing font

in contrast to growing chair legs,

trainer wheels cast off

along with coloured streamers

and little mermaid cozzies.

Somehow the years spin

by so fast the turning wheels

have barely kissed the road.
