the biggest tomato I've grown

I leave it think tomorrow it will
be ripe
in bed I hear the sound possum
breath
morning comes and I'm up and out
to check
that tomato time to pick it
too late
a big possum bite by the possum
breather
I remember that tomato so ripe
all gone
I get it! Bananas come and go, but there is something about a big ripe tomato that makes its loss momentous, epic :)
