#63 Kevin Brophy 'A creation story every night'

Something big breaks apart
out there.

Something unimaginable is thrown
down

shaking up the rocks
we stand on.

The sky seems blasted
into the air.

The spine of the earth takes this rain
on its back.

The black and white dog of fear
on the verandah flinches

and flinches again.

It is the sound of ships falling
out of the bottom of a sea.

This red earth in its black night
speaks in waking rumbles.

  1. What a dramatic picture of rain! I really like this part:

It is the sound of ships falling

out of the bottom of a sea.

    That is an amazing image!

    Good work,
    Myron.
