like in summer
the orange colour hovers
over yellow
that sits like a splash
on the white petals
of the native iris
this year
the summer blazed on
hot hot hot
for months
suggesting climate change
but reminding us of childhood
days when the summer holiday
went on and on
in my iris print
orange is the fifth colour
changing spring to summer
and then completed when the wet started
