new moon

sun sinking
new moon hanging
sky crazy with clouds
if it was a painting it would not be believed
the colour cold pale blue
clouds zigzag across the hemisphere
some drawn with a feather
some similar to ripples on the beach
but upside down in the sky
strong lines intersect
a cross lying sideways
below soft fluffy grey clouds
as the sunsets
these clouds
turn dusky orange
and move on
a new moon
a new mood
