Bunga

bunga dari kebun kawan

pada vas di bangku dapur

vas yang akan lebih indah

andai ia dari kristal

dan andai dalam lukisan

niscaya ia mampu

bersanding dengan sang bunga

kelopak yang berwarna

ungu

dan lingsir putih

indah tak terkatakan

flowers from a friend’s garden

in a vase on the kitchen bench

the vase that would look best

if it were crystal

and if it was in a painting

then it might be able

to compete with the flowers

because the colour of the petals

the purple

and the white borders
have that ineffability about them
