Efi Hatzimanolis #74 'My Mouthful of Sky'

Sky is gathering between my teeth,
if I open my mouth it’ll pour out to form clouds then weather,
it may rain for forty days and nights.
It’s a worry, as I’m already on the lookout
for the first signs of greenery,
for the tell tale speck of spinach on my teeth,
green as hope itself,
greener even than that olive branch -
but is there a bird, out there,
brave enough to fly
into my mere mouthful of sky?

  5. Thank you so much, everyone! Seems to be a nasty type A flu doing the rounds - my mother was hospitalised with it, so take care of yourselves and keep vigilant.
