Kit Kelen #95 - allowed to rest

95
allowed to rest

dim end of life
away beavering

I have my
magnifiers

I'm the scarecrow
want it to be after rain

I have a hat
for that

and a wider life
of many things

the sun tears through
we tear after

ear to the ether
the all-to-do and not much done

Jehovah's Witnesses come round
we can agree there are many gods

(not sure if they know I can see them
but that's their lookout I guess)

I come to the edge of it all
where the rain left off

the red-billed satin blue ones
with the wobbly white arses

it's with some ceremony they pass each other
each making for the pond

black cockies come
explain the pace

perch in trees from whom they learn
to steady with the sky

  1. Really like your language play Kit. Edges, bird images, learning from the trees all terrific.
