BRISBANE, Thursday.—A tragedy occurred at Dutton Park
early this morning about 6.45.
An old man, whose name is given as Alfred Hatchman,
passed through the Park in the direction of the river.
Shortly afterwards
Hatchman was discovered by a young man
hanging by a rope
from the branch of a fig-tree on the river bank.
He was quite dead.
