photo of Robin Blau's sculpture The Time Thief in New Acton
the hour slid into the couch crack
stunned in automatic reset
clocks on screens confirming
its extraness.
hiding from expectations, plans
the lazy hour is getting away with it
at the good end of daylight saving
after all, paying it back (with low interest)
an hour should seem more for the time poor.
crossing its legs
it fumbles the to do list the promises to
itself
witters, dawdles, pauses
at a view, a pose, with an accompanying snifter
an idle in Facebook a horoscope or so
stares in the mirror
considers the unfolded washing
regrets nothing
lovely, Sarah. And I really like the sculpture.
ReplyDeletefab, how to procrastinate
ReplyDeleteDroll - very clever :) That first line is a cracker (no pun intended).
