a politician’s speech

ears that hear truth covered by whose palms

from behind

signaling

it’s time

for silence

sad I can’t read

lips where truth leaks out

it looks like he’s chewing words while eschewing voice

he appears so dumb

that I doubt

I am

above all else
deaf
