Kit Kelen #67 - gospel of Lucretius

gospel of Lucretius

here by accident of course
and all the world is blameless
praise the ways the atoms fall

this spinning world
and void so far
though never truly blank

try breathing but for here though
this home as green and round
as dreaming

conscious of its life
and for each moment living
never knowing what may come

though we can tell
the turning and the chase of tale
we can measure all

praise the way the atoms fall
spheres to my own ear tuned
light and sound no two the same

nor days, nor shadows fallen
splendours of the mind as well
heights and depths and plain upendings

unexpected twists and spills
decisions, hesitations
cheers, run with the ball

and doodle along
sometimes through the posts
unnoticed

so many excitements
and the day consists
all by itself

regardless of my breath
or the calling of numbers
praise the ways the atoms fall

might I just sit in my corner
with pen and paper
I'd never get it all down

but I could have a fair crack
and how?!
one language is not more sacred

so many adventures
enticements
praise the ways the atoms fall

be grateful as you like
imagine what and how you will
there is no one to thank
