perhaps activism is in my DNA
the crisis and chaos
of racism

growing up on Dr Martin Luther King
knowing in my heart
there is no peace until freedom sings

and although Dr King is not from my people

we share the same plight

fighting the good fight

of no more black on white

and like Hampton - The Black Messiah

I believe that "I am a revolutionary"

a time for justice,

a time for peace,

there is no peace until freedom sings

and she will sing,

she will sing, she will sing.
