so what is it about my gender
that makes my poetry seem like a hobby?

the nonconformity of my verse
is not in itself a mental disorder
it is merely freedom of speech

and if I were born a man
would I be afforded freedom of speech?

if I were to follow
the binary model of gender
would this distinct form of bias
be more prevalent.....or less so?

masculine//feminine
two distinct opposites
disconnected

or are they?
