Kerri Shying R - # 232 - I was

I was

in this dream  being examined medically  just the skin the bones  noting
where the ganglions are      part of me is thinking I don’t have those anymore
but you know how dreams are it keeps on going      the side bar settles down the interrogation of my wrists my knees my calves continues  it all is neat and so symmetrical until a voice says  no look there’s one up there     we all look at the knuckle bone just above the left wrist   see that bulging lump and sigh      is there never an end to that ailing
can the heart write across the skin the bone

  and

do I far prefer it there
than inside  where

 the flowers of my soul
the blossoms pollinating
you

to carry down across the ages
 grow.
