Blogspot doesn't have a "Like" button ... so I just have to say I really like this piece and I look forward to seeing it when it is completed. Encaustics are so interesting. They take me back to primary school art and Cray-pas oil pastels. We'd coat a piece of paper with brilliant colour, then lay down a coat of black over the top. I can still smell Cray-pas now, and one day I'd love to revisit the pleasure of scratching an image out of wax. (Just looked up the history of Cray-pas, it's fascinating http://sakuraofamerica.com/pdf/craypashistory_lowres.pdf )
