I often picture you in New Zealand
where you’ve been all these years
unseen but in contact
the sounds of music ringing out over the
harbour
your music still ringing for me
on that magical night
and I see you at your work desk
but also in those green valleys
in the close up photos
in your minimal haiku
that perfectly summarise the artist
working in a full time lifethe awareness of it hits me
suddenly
as my own years fall into place
I really like the rhythm of this piece. It builds a whole world.
ReplyDeleteEvocative and moving
ReplyDeleteIndeed. The rightness of working at one's art.
