Aku melihat biji manga

Aku tahu hal kelam yang menetas di sana

Aku mempelajarinya

dari iklan-iklan

di tujuan tak kukenal

bak rumah kekasihku

di musim panas dan bantal yang mendingin

Ia menyuruhku menaruh gula

di mata kudaku

ketika rumput berbiji

tapi aku gosok sutra

di bulu mereka

dan memetik buah dari pohon tak kukenal

I watched the mangos seed

I know the black things that hatch there

I learnt of this

during the commercial breaks

at unfamiliar destinations

like at my lover's house

in summer our pillows wintered

He told me to put sugar

in the eyes of my horses

when the grasses seed

instead I rubbed silk

over their fur

and picked fruit from unfamiliar trees
