rain falling

fish under water

rise to drink


In yesterday's downpours the two fish in our pond swam close to the surface. one is just there in a flash of gold in right hand corner of this pic.

    Lovely image. You make me feel certain I have seen this happen – though in fact I can't be sure the 'memory' was not created by your verse.

    I'm pleased to think the poem did it for you Rosemary. I was wondering if a fish finds the rain more appealing to drink than the water it lives in.
