rise
to the light
you
go where you believe, surely?
clear
sky or skies falling
or
is it where you are believed?
blink
and you're gone
so
it is with planets, stars
come
through tall grass
under
a fence
see
the clouds' forced march
some
kind of trudge
one
opening
will
be a poem
some
kind of rule asserts
open
my eyes
to
the dark
shut
again
not
morning yet
but
possum's in position
a
beak breaks skin of the fruit
blink
and you're gone
so
it is with planets, stars
rise
to the light
see
high up through branches
the
delicate complexity
of
what we haven't touched
Lovely. I really enjoyed seeing the draft, too.

ReplyDeletelove the visual play of the notebook, and how that translates into lines; such meditative poem
