Lizz Murphy — Poem 158: Catchphrase

CATCHPHRASE

Waking  trying to catch phrases
like some bear fishing for salmon or
a man missing a finger fishing change
from his pocket  Above our home
a wedge-tailed eagle  circling

  1. I love this Lizz. It's how I feel every morning at the moment - the desperation of fishing for a poem a day! :)

  3. Seems like we're all having a bit of this going on, lol! (Hence my resort to an erasure poem today.) But not all of us decide to turn it to advantage by expressing it so eloquently. Nicely done. And I love the eagle circling.

  4. Thank you everyone. Some of us who have been going all year have had this feeling often! It's also a positive thing where the discipline of writing every day has you waking already thinking deliciously about writing (but boringly I've written this side of it before :) )
