Come tomorrow

I have tidied up my strings

and arranged the chairs

I have made peanut cookies

without gluten

without milk

I have made space for your work baskets

amongst my things

I will hug you all

hard at the top of the stairs

I will heat my cold metal table

from below with a gentle warmth

ready for our show and tell

of a month's worth of creating

and travelling and planning

and taking your courage out with you

for every walk

come tomorrow I will be

so pleased to see you
