looking up

joy of rain fallen
where the sun shines

there's still a trickle
of rhythm for frogs

all the world's green
everything's looking up

everyone's got some notes
in this chord

all of this singing
too little to hear

in the bright blue
where stars will soon shine

here's Little Cloud Innocence
never heard of rain

the rest of us
all looking up

  1. Lovely, lovely!

PS Did you realise your name is not appearing in your headings lately? (I know you've had internet probs.)

  2. I love the trickle of rhythm for frogs. Helping me look up. Reminds me a bit of Jo Shapcott's 'On Mutability' which is one of my favourite poems and has that "look up" motif.
