Red Cone (LF)#157-Sometimes

sometimes
sadness sweeps across
like a wind whipped
sometimes
it only takes a slight trigger
and the world closes in
bleak and grey
a worn track is seen in the
distance
inviting

it is a new day
sunshine and quinces
the other rinsed away
farewell sad feeling
welcome slow warmth
and stay

  1. Yes, it's like that – sometimes one and sometimes the other. But I find that that the new days get to last a little longer and come more often. I am referring to grief; perhaps you mean depression – but in any case there is a delicacy about your poem which I like very much.
