Not even shipwrecks last forever
What chance that tender flesh
your heart?
torn, bitten, yes, I see your
love bites healed to yellow
I see you suck against the tide
I see you hid amid the rocks
( no matter the razor-tooth eels at play down there).
Time finds all, calls all home
return what wound you held yawning for a decade to waves that pound
let slide at last the bonds that bind
until bright day,
shimmering horizon,
sea unspecked blue
unblues.

I like the way you have turned this event into a metaphor for an important realisation.
