Janette Hoppe #4 Hine-nui-te-po (2)

2.
Hine, e hine,
Girl, sweet girl...

I whakapapa back to -
Papatuanuku (Earth Mother)
Hine ahuone (Earth-made Maiden)
Hine-ata-uira (Hine-titama)
Hine-nui-te-po

she is all fierceness
unapologetically woman
she is all mana
molten lava in the pit of her womb

the strength of her thighs,
the rhythm of her hips,
all friction and thrust,
pure passion and lust...

he is igneous rock, granite and sand
all that keeps her grounded -
but she is fierce
molten lava in the pit of her womb
and all he can do
is go along for the ride
obsidian teeth in the pit of her thighs

iconic deity,
unapologetically woman
she is all mana

and I am all woman.

  2. Dear Janette, this story cycle is so primal and so real, it scares me. But like a constellation in the night sky we take our bearings from, I love it.
