I think everyone is entitled to get whatever they get Lizz. Most of my poet friends know to read subtext, most of my FB friends not so much. I am often not sure if my point is clear in my poems (and I'm not sure it matters) but if you are interested my launching point for this was a face book memory (where it sends you a photo from the same day in a past year) Looking back at a post I had made on year ago felt simultaneously very recent and very distant and I thought the only way that could work is if time was folded like a concertina. Others thought it might be about breathing and my mother's last breath - which it well may be. Other friends have been sending me pictures of accordions or sharing the poem with their folk music friends!
Ha! No accordion poem is about accordions. Says so on page 212.
