Lizz Murphy - Poem 167: after Drysdale (more bloody weather)

The desert is a gnawed carcass
Always good drying weather

after a Drysdale painting (and with thanks to a Sarah Rice workshop)

  1. That 'more bloody weather' thing is getting around, Lizz. I like the two long flat lines of this.

    1. Ha! A well-known Drysdale springs instantly to mind.

  2. Thanks heaps everyone. Ah Penelope maybe I should've given you a nod. Have enjoyed the 'not another weather poem' thread recurring over the months. Does anyone know which painting it is - has a house with chimney and sheets blowing on the line - carcass in foreground - must ask Sarah R.
