in
another landscape
egrets ducks
plovers
and the
usual cormorants
kookaburras
rainbow lorikeets
and a
type of corella
so great
to have a day out
on a week
day
leave the
city
get out
to the places
where
people who work in the city live
the
reverse of us
they work
in the places we live
the water
up there still as glass
not even
rippled with wind
the quiet
falls on us
disturbed
only by the occasional whipper snipper
I
remember the place from forty years ago
when it
was full of little fibro weekenders
a map
full of inlets
quiet and
warm
and us
a
different us
come out from the city
with an
old combi
