Kit Kelen #227 - arafura

227
arafura

firmament brave
down dangling

cloudcapped
and a sea for azure

the names I could drop
of those who've not been!

begin with the bard
and go back

once you're up it's all taken for granted
in heaven as it is on earth

merino combed, frizzled, flung
all goes without saying

feathered to edge
day's ending out there

just about halfway home
ambiguous as that may be

between of days
begin the blur

catch the orange
last of rays

cast golden shadows
for the sea

you'd think time fixed them for a queue
we ourselves are in procession

half a million of us in heaven right now
best as I can google

many of course won't look out the window
stay glued to a smaller screen

it's all of it stray punctuation
patterned, yes

but the show is of moments
so we see no two the same

an invitation to blink,
believe

red ending as in ember's glow
suggesting morning ash

has to be
kicked alive

now darkening
fishing boats point the sea

like a starry sky
and the crocodile cloud snaps up out of nowhere

no one and nothing keeps up with this world
the eye takes all in in slow motion of course
