Robert Verdon, #232, Scattered Thoughts of a Ragged-Trousered Miser

travelling across a dairy farm by the coast years ago the smell of cow dung strong but not unpleasant rather like cheddar though after a while it became unbearable and we had to shut the windows though it must have been a hot day
this is the productive system at one level
society is not just a ‛culture’ of ideas
I am not as mad as Artaud
today I came across a poem (‛This Evening’) I had never read by Belgian Surrealist E.L.T. Mesens (1903-1971) translated by Cheryl Seaman in mimeographed typewritten Radical America (Students for a Democratic Society) January 1970 75¢ p20 [bibliographical detail nearly as long as the poem] uploaded to the matrix at http://libcom.org/book/export/html/43326 (9.8.2016).
