Barbara Temperton #20 - Cruising VI: Recalibrated haiku, KL


   Salamat datang

   Malaysia: land of
   eternal summer – two seasons
   the wet, the dry.

   KL four-lane tollway,
   the broken white lines are
   for motorcycles,

   the asphalt spaces
   inbetween for everything
   plus motorcycles.

   Bomb scare at Twin Towers,
   we visit a playground
   for summer photos.

    Your picture conveys the hugeness and density of the city (one I have not visited). And then the haiku alight on details. It all draws me in.

    Thank you, Rosemary. The density of KL is amazing. I loved it there. Such amazing architecture, a really interesting city.
