Kit Kelen #170 - imagine (a vanish in the afternoon)

170
a vanish in the afternoon

forget the standing up in the grave
at the sound of some god's gong
forget the reincarnation jag
take a Lethe-dip if you like

but
imagine
the place without me
in the sense of being dead
that's a best kind of nakedness yet
no more 'I' but all still there

you can get over yourself
get past
it's like the minute's silence
in the rains
when we're sunstruck

when we're over the rainbow
made to know
that we were always there

  1. I'm loving all your poems of place and the accompanying photos. Wonderful title, this one, and I like the ideas it describes.

  2. 'the place without me
in the sense of being dead' is my favourite part. Very evocative.
