Lisa Brockwell #22 Marriage

Marriage

I slept in that bed
as a sapling
protection
from the tractor
and scythe
I wound
my branches through
its iron arms
a good match
for fifty years
now it’s difficult
to see a way through
we are welded
together

  2. Yes, I love the very clear feeling of winding in the sound of it.
