Not Written in the Stars

 

a repetition
of swelling water
following its DNA pattern
fingers the sands’ shoreline

 the moon

plays the tune
calling the shots
the controlling master
of tides’ lows and highs

 sometimes

a seismic shift
will whistle up
a tsunami disaster
overriding its lunar overseer

 there is

no certainty
not every effect follows cause
a pre- ordained inflexible pattern
exists

dealing out myriad possibilities.
